Is it possible to have my excess skin removed on the NHS?
Significant weight loss over the year has left me with loose skin under my arms - what can I do?
What's the minimum age to have liposuction on my thighs?
Is it possible to remove a scar caused from a blade cut which has been stitched already?
Keith Allison: Yes, it is possible to perform surgery on a sutured wound. It is preferable that this is performed soon after the initial injury or after the scar has matured. Performing surgery within a few weeks to a few months tends to leave a worse scar as the skin reacts badly to being operated on more than once within a few months. Scars are often thicker and angrier unless allowed to settle before being re-stitched.
