Mr Nicholas Rhodes
BDS, MBChB, FFD RCSI, FRCSI, FRCS(Plast)
Mr Rhodes was educated at Leeds Grammar School before graduating in both Medicine (MBChB) and Dental Surgery (BDS) from the Universities of Leeds and Liverpool respectively. He Initially trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and was made a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons (FFD RCSI).
He went on to complete his training in general surgery within designated accredited training posts in the UK. He successfully passed the Royal College examinations and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland in 2002 (FRCSI).Mr Rhodes then went on to specialize in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery undertaking his Higher Surgical Training in the Yorkshire Region. He passed the Intercollegiate Speciality examination in Plastic Surgery in 2005 (FRCS(Plast.)) His Training in Plastic surgery includes extensive experience in Cosmetic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery.
He gained his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training, (CCST) and was entered onto the General Medical Council’s, (GMC’s), Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in April 2006 making him eligible to be appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon. Mr Rhodes was appointed as a Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Bradford Royal Infirmary and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary in 2007. His NHS work is mainly concerned with surgery to the breast particularly microsurgical reconstruction following cancer and the correction of congenital deformity. Mr Rhodes also specializes in body contouring surgery following massive weight loss.
Mr Rhodes’ Private Practice includes aesthetic surgery of the breast (breast augmentation, mastopexy, breast reduction), facial cosmetic surgery (rhinoplasty, eye bag removal, endoscopic brow lift, facelift) and body contouring surgery (abdominoplasty, liposuction, body lift, brachioplasty, lipofilling / fat transfer). He also provides a full range of none surgical treatments using the latest fillers and Botulinum Toxin. Mr Rhodes has been trained in some of the newer techniques available in cosmetic surgery such as “Smart Lipo” for body contour enhancement. He was in the first wave of surgeons to be trained and use the Allergan computerized Biodimensional analysis system for breast implant selection.
Mr Rhodes is a full member of British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
